Confirmed fuel pump?

I have a tool (home made) for getting the sender cap off if that helps, and some lessons learned if you need them

Thanks for the link will try them if it comes to it although i see it says 2 sold.

I had the car recovered by a garage and have said to them if they're not up for trying to split the pump unit to get to the pump then drop it back on my drive, now i know what it is. But he said his labour to strip it is going to be cheaper than recovery back to my house.

The 8 is in the sticks, where there are no buses.

If U are going to do the Split yourself give me a heads- up and I'll post
a full " how to " with pics ..... just done mine....
Now I am sitting with a Low Oil Pressure problem and a strange whine from the
motor which could be related...

I've told the mech at the garage i'm happy to do t but i think he wants to break it himself. I suppose thats fair he did find the fault it should be for him to break it first.

But do the how too anyway as it'll be good as a sticky.

It was quite reassuring to see Land Rover’s and tractors around the workshop as they’re 4x4’s as well so they should know what they’re doing.
