Default SEAT ibiza 1.4tdi 2008

Hi peeps the little car has been stood for a bit now. Just had it serviced with new oil, filter, AC regas, gear box fluid change and the brakes adjusted as that was picked up at last mot. Now 2 issues, it’s difficult to go into 1st and reverse this was before the gear oil change however. Also there is no buzzer or clicking noise when indicating or leaving the lights on when opening the door. I was hoping to put it up for sale as ULEZ kicks in Oct this year and as it’s diesel it fails. This is a manual car by the way. Any help appreciated hoping it’s not clutch and the gear selector

Default Gear selector

Update. Took the car to Mr Clutch and a grease monkey said it’s not the clutch, then took it to my local mechanic who said it’s more likely the gear selector. Now is there any guides or tips on how to replace or repair the selector? It very difficult now to put into reverse! Any help?

Did similar repair on A6, was a bit hard to get in the right gear and often going for 1st would go in reverse

Have you checked out any dedicated Seat forums like this one to see if someone has had the same issues?

Cheers. I am on that SEAT forum and left message there. There is a good video on YT I will look at. Need to remove the air filter box to access the selector. Will try and tinker there to see if it makes any difference. Man I wish I had a garage it’s freezing out there!
