Here's another. This one is an FE. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...nerId=facebook
It has the weird violet interior that photographs don't like, but in the flesh can look fantastic

I agree with Ian about the 51 plate claiming to be an FE. Seems odd

This isnt violet, this is the uber-rare 'morning dew' FE interior on aqua blue paintwork....

I've only ever seen it twice, this car, and the last time this car was advertised a few months ago

Wow - that's a weird colour leather!! Pics date original ad to January...

The mileage and towbar combined would put me off unless the gearbox has had oil changes - could be a very large bill looming if the box is getting near to its expiry date? I guess if the towbar has only had light use and the box is working perfectly it may be worth a punt - I'm sure by now they'll be listening to offers to clear the space.

That's interesting. So the seller has only had it for several months?? Wonder why he's selling so quickly??

Yeah, I saw this on Autotrader but wasn't too sure about the "morning dew" colour. The one thing that put me off was that it had a tow bar fitted. Last car I bought that had a tow bar, I needed to replace the rear shocks several months later.

Will have another look.

Thanks guys.

Almost certainly the same seller still advertising, rather than a re-sale, I would imagine. Can take a while for these cars to sell given the way petrol has rocketed even since I bought mine in December....

Yeah, that would make sense. Been on the market for a while if it's been for sale since January.

I spoke to the garage who have serviced it for the last 3 years and they renewed two tyres at one service with 255/35/20 ones. I'm sure these are the same as the FE ones. If so the mystery continues!!!

Bizarre as it sounds, it's possible the car was previously bought for its wheels or just had them removed before advertising. Does the seller say the wheels are still 20s on the car, or are they smaller?

I meant the car advertised on eBay that Tonupkid posted. The one in Hampshire looks fine.

I've actually been to that dealer before to view a car, they deal in mostly high-end performance cars. I was looking at an Alpina B3. My overall impression of the place was they were not really interested in the cars and their condition. They don't really seem to do much to prep a car other than run a rag over the car and put some cheap tyres on to get a car through an MOT.

Phoned Audi Customer Services to see what info they had on the Hampshire car. It was just out of curiosity as to what info they could give me. Seems that the car was serviced by Audi twice in 2004 and 2008. However, the service book allegedly says it was also was serviced in 2003. I also contacted the dealer and they had nothing for 2003 but a record of 2004. Interesting.
