Doesn't surprise me - seems a bit hit and miss what they have a record of - can also vary if it's been on different plates over its life as that sends their systems mad. They still quote the original plate on my A6 to me, even though it's been on a private one since 2005, and they even did the plate transfer for me when we bought it!

I'd want to see stamps in the book with corresponding paperwork to back up the majority of history, otherwise there's every chance it just didn't happen....probably been out of the network for a number of years now anyway. Mine didn't go near an Audi dealer after about 2006
