As far as I’m aware Glasgow Lord Provist still owns the Phaeton and still showing as on the road with low miles on the clock... see attachment

That must be a new Phaeton Glasgow Council have, they must have sneaked a new one in under the radar as this one is a 2014 car and they’ve have then since the mid 2000s. When was the Phaeton discontinued? Was this one a special build?

2016 - they make Bentleys there now (in the big glass factory).
That was part of Phaeton ownership for many - flying to Germany, sometimes with family, going to the VW museum and seeing it being 'born' in the glass factory. Must have been nice for those that could afford a new one.

Any love for the V10 TDI? I've got selling alerts set up and might be tempted if a nice high spec example came up. Mapping one to 900Nm torque is too appealing. Same goes for the Touraeg.

No recall has ever been issued for Phaeton either but if you dig deep enough you will find horror stories like the mammoth job of replacing a turbo, the four air struts being linked and can only be replaced as a set. You know, minor stuff...

Here's the evidence:

Interesting that the 4.2 petrol Phaeton has two air boxes.
