Isn't the badge secured to the grille from the back? Didn't realise it was all fixed on in one piece . . .
I wonder if a newer s line badge would do the job instead maybe if it fits?

Have you actually checked that removing it will leave a cut out? I thought these badges were just secured on top of the outside of the grille with a securing bar behind it so surely removing it would just leave a plain grille?
