Test drive in S5 today...
Took an S5 out today..great piece of kit and sounded really good on standard pipes..Anyone got any comments/feelings about them (besides "you scab - get back in the '8!")
I was a bit disappointed to find it had a similar engine to my S8, but with less ponies More comfortable than I expected too and really solidly built. When I drove my FE home, my engine felt a lot more free-revving..maybe because she's high mileage? The S5 has 18K on the clock and has just been reduced by 4K...hmmm! Brings me back to the whole C6 S6 scenario. Why has it got around 350BHP (estimating, can't remember exact) when the BMW M3 with 200 cc less has got 414. Fair enough its a bit cheaper but I really do think a BMW 335 makes much more sense than a S5, unless your after that V8 soundstrack a standard 335 is faster then a S5 (Youtube S5 VS 335 fifth gear review) so a remapped one would run rings around it.
Sorry folks for bashing an Audi on here but I don't show brand loyalty/bias to any car manufactuer.

The BMW revs a lot higher IIRC.. Because it's a linear formula, the higher you rev, the HP goes up.
