Wish I'd known about the hybrid tuner first, would have just gone that route.

If Bjarne is no longer making CANgate, what other option do I have for simulating the signal? I have 12v running to the RSFL pin already off the reverse lamps, is that voltage too high?

You can always U-turn and buy hybrid tuner. You will reuse RNS-E side of your dietz wiring since tuners usually come without any wires (unless you special order it from broken car). I would ditch dietz to be honest.

I don't remember to be honest. Try to search internet. You need a 'can gate' programable type of product with at least one analog input. Bjarne will tell you what messages you need to inject into can bus when signal on reversing wire appears/disappears.

I don't know how reversing signal works. It may be +12 when you reverse or it may be ground when you reverse. I took reversing signal that came from car side to my RNS-D and re-routed it to reversing pin of my RNS-E. I then ditched RNS-D.

Study wiring diagrams of RNS-D to understand where genuine Audi reversing wire is supplied from if you're unsure if your reversing signal is the right one.

You can also open 'measured value blocks' of RNS-E with VCDS/VAGCOM and I'm sure it should show somewhere reversing signal. You can then try to reverse and see if value of reversing state in RNS-E changes.

Hope it helps.
