Chrome lip on lower grill??

Can anyone give a good suggestion as to how to do a quality one? I love the added chrome on the facelift D2's. You can see one on mine too, however I used cheep $3 chrome door trim - it looks good from a distance, but something thicker and nicer would be preferred.
