Default Door handle chrome trim

Morning All,

Has anyone managed to take chrome trim off from a exterior door handle? Broke one already

It isn't possible mate, I'm afraid.

There are four screws that hold the platic-chrome plated trim piece in place. You can access two of them but the other two are mounted to the switch / sensor assembly. These two screws are then completely inaccessible once the handle itself is all bonded together.

I wouldn't recommend drilling them out as there is a bunch of circuitry below that relate to the keyless opening, which leaves your only option of trying to cut those clips off which I guess could be done with a dremel if you're careful.
