Default New spare key for my 2002 FE S8 - Audi Stealers

Checked several mobile auto locksmiths if they could cut & code a spare remote key for me. E.mailed four different Companies and not one replied.
Rang two others who stated it was Audi Dealer purchase only.
So I went to Audi Guildford for a quote.
Their initial quote was for £246.31
They stated this was special order that I had to pay for it in advance. If it could not be coded I would still own the key as they would not take it back. After a little negotiation I managed to get a discount of 7.5%, bringing it down to £228.13.
I still felt this was high, with no guarantee, so decided to check out other mobile auto locksmiths.
Eventually I found a guy quite local to me who agreed he could do it for £110 all in. He came to me, spent approx 45 mins sorting everything out, with 100% success.
Do not believe people or Stealer when they say its a dealer purchase only. It can be done if the locksmith has the right tools.
Happy Days

There is a guy on facebook who codes a lot of VAG keys and will travel when he has the right numbers to make it worth while. I'm sure he did a bunch of keys for Audi owners on here at one of the annual meets, even doing some advanced keys and 'Bentley Style' keys. His name escapes me at the moment.

EDIT: It's Craig Nettleton

I had 4 of those Bentley style keys done by Craig (one for each seat memory position), on Neil's recommendation, at the 2015 meet. Craig did a great job and the keys are really nice quality.

I did contact Craig who said he could do it for me, but only when he was in my area. At the time he was unable to visit me whilst I was still in the UK as he needed several jobs to come this far south. He also stated he did not do car shows, as I asked if he would be at Audis in the Park earlier this month.
All sorted now though.

Sorry MikkiJayne I do not know what tool he usedto code it, accept it was two separate pieces of equipment.

Out of interest, what sort of keys did you get? Were they the OEM style or something different?

I have reprogrammed MK1 Seat Leon keys (MK4 Golf/Audi A3) and first you require software to obtain the SKC from the immobiliser/cluster.

You then require VCDS or similar to them program the keys to the car - the SKC will give you access to code the car.

Likewise B5 A4s - they're easy with VagTacho as they're Immo1 or 2. I never found anything that could successfully get the SKC for Immo3 though.

Hi Moltuae,
The key looks like a genuine Audi key with the 4 rings on the back
The new remote is as my original key.

From top to bottom

Lock
Open boot only
Unlock

David
