Made some progress on trying to determine id my D3 4.2tdi has been remapped, 6
Did a VCDS Acceleration 0-60 test tonight, quite a good feature. From the results it looks pretty stock to me 0 to 60 mph: 6.2 +- 0.36swhich meant the company BTG I had took it to and said it had already been remapped must have been trying to get out of a cheap remap.

Question is does anyone know what a D3 4.2tdi 0-60 which has been remapped would be roughly?

Finally had the car remapped at the Perfomance Centre in Sunderland on Saturday little bit down on power 298hp/630nm but they managed to get it up to 340hp/866nm. I was a bit disappointed in the peak hp figure but as they explained it doesn't matter with all that torque and the curves they achieved, just takes off now really happy with it.

It was £324 bud, I was quite impressed with the perfomance centre, they did a diagnostic and a few rolling road tests before starting the tune to get a baseline. The place I went to a months back BTG in Newcastle didnt do any initial rolling road session and said it was already mapped sheet lies 😂. I'm going to check the mpg today as I'm normal around 32mpg on and 60/70mph trip to work 27 miles each way. Just enjoying the new found loud pedal nice and easy overtaking before it felt sluggish 50-70 now it just goes

Hi Jonny.

Out of interest, if you do another 0-60 with same equipment and settings as before, would be great if you could post them up.

I like your thinking John
I'll post one soon, stock at 298.7hp/630nm was 6.2 +-.3s
.3s accurate so gives a good indicator

5.6s 0-60 I'm happy with that, prior the remap it was 6.2s
I took it just over 60 on the same stretch of road 2 runs each way with traction on

Mpg has stayed the same at 32mpg on at 52 mile round trip each day, mixed roads with traffic but I'm happy with that as long as it's faster now
