Default Roof bars

Have recently purchased 2nd hand roofbars from eBay (not with me yet).
I recently looked, since purchase, at the manufacturer's details about them, only to find they're not for LWB models!
Can't remember who makes them but it's not Audi or Thule.
Anyway,I can't see (apart from roughly 5") what the difference is between a swb and lwb roof is?
Has anyone fitted roofbars to a long wheel base model?

Maybe they will be to far apart for the accessories from the same manufacturer? I can't see them not fixing on anyway. Do we Long owners have little dimples above the doors on the underside of the door aperture for it to engage in?

I'll take a look.
It's only to put my bike carrier on, but, the bars may end up back on eBay if no good

Not on a LWB, but the door rubbers have small white arrow heads for where the roofbars should be mounted. I've just checked mine and they are 75cm (29.5in) centre to centre.

As snapdragon said, it might cause an issue with accessories, but would have thought any accessory would have adjustments to allow fitting to more than one car. e.g. whether you're fitting your bike carrier to an A1 or an A8.
