Default Rear Caliper

I'm about to order a rear calliper for my 2004 4.0 tdi. Are the driver and passenger calipers specific to each side or can a drivers side be used on the passenger side and vice versa?

Thanks for that. I bit the bullet and got both rear calipers, new disks and pads for both sides. Didn't want to risk just fitting one caliper and having the other one give up a few months down the line. The joys of the electronic handbrake
