Default Faulty n/s rear caliper ....broken wiring

After recently getting a warning on the dash - indicating failed park brake, I hooked up my Diagnostics which brought up a fault, which I was unable to clear.
It pointed to the n/s caliper suggesting an open circuit.....
I remember the previous owner having only just replaced the n/s rear caliper and ecu last September (2 months before I bought the car).
"Happy days" I thought. It's only 11 months ago and will therefore be covered by the Audi 2 yr parts warranty!
Not so.....it transpired the open circuit was a broken wire on the connecting plug, to the caliper, but on the CAR side of the wiring.
Bugger!!!!
Interestingly enough though, when I got to the caliper connector, it wasn't housed in the forked mounting bracket and the cable connector rubber cover/sheath was pealed back from its recessed 'home' position?
So, it's a DIY job for me. It's the thicker cable that goes to #4 connection on the plug, but, it's very close to the connector, leaving little room to work.

So, before I ramble on any more, does anyone know of a special tool that removes electrical pins, to enable me to carry out a nice wiring repair?

Any help advice appreciated.
