You don't need good weather if you avail yourself of this service, just the time...

I used them the other week to work on my commuting car. Its brilliant, a bright clean workshop, 4 ramps or lots of service bays, all the tools you will probably ever need available to borrow. I'll be going back when its time to service my car again.

This reminded me of something i heard on the radio on the way home from work a few days ago...
Hopefully a few more garages like this will start to spring up.

Great write up Oli. My neighbour has two MX5,s (can't bear to sell the older one). Cleans both on a non-stop basis and she got so upset by my exhaust tips that she came over with her cleaner and had a good go at them. They won though, still as grubby as ever
Here's a detail I love about these cars. Look straight down at the tips (when they're fitted Oli) so you can just see them peeking out from under the bumper and you'll see that they are curved to match the curve of the bumper. This is not easy engineering. What a passion for detail must have made them that way. I guess that's why we love these motors

Hi,

It's taken a fair few months but I finally got around to getting these fitted. I'm pretty pleased!

Default 3 years on...

Hi,

With the recent refurbing of my wheels, i've been meaning to tackle the exhaust again. It was almost 3 years ago that i bought my S8 backbox from A8 Parts and although i got quite a good bit of traction when i cleaned it up, it still wasn't as good as i wanted it to be.

This weekend was the weekend to have another go and this time i used a few new toys...

Power drill
800 grit sandpaper on a wheel
Polishing mop with polishing soap bar (this stuff is amazing!)

Overall, quite pleased with the results and i've gotten the mirror finish that i've always wanted - although it did take about 2 1/2 hrs

Anyway, thought i'd share some of the results...

Oli

Hahaaa, now I know why you commented on the tips of my S8 exhaust when I shared the photos, it all makes sense now!

Mine wasn't as bad as yours when I got it from A8 Parts but I only spent about an hour polishing the tips..........using the same type of kit you tried (with excellent results) the second time around.

Nice job Oli, looking great
