Its been a while, definitely time for more weights.

After some surgery...

Battery had a cold, so I took it in to recover

New battery for reference.

Bottom one is a Lithium battery, much lighter and smaller for the same power but biblically expensive!!!

Hi Sergey,
yes, I did it when the battery was out. I noticed it drew a very small current when car was off, so I thought better take it out. Also I dont want it coming on automatically in case it kills this poor Bosch battery, it wont hold a full charge, I think its almost finished.

Hi SilverS8, the mystery part is a heated windscreen control unit and mounting bracket.
We should start the mystery part game again, it was fun.

Time for more weights. Here is a comparison of some A8 suspension parts and S8 suspension parts, and rear leveling suspension.
Also a guest appearance of Secondary Air Injection parts.
I estimate I saved another 10kg from removing self leveling suspension and SAI.

A8 front Spring

A8 self leveling rear shocks

SAI parts (almost all)

self leveling reservoir and pipe, some pipes missing

Thanks Sergey, although all credit is due to MRC for their hard work.

I forgot one picture, here is the front subframe in its box. Actual weight is 20kg according to dealer's computer.
It is amazing, a piece of stamped sheet steel which carries the engine, transmission and suspension against the weight of the chassis is so light, yet a seat to carry a person weighs 34kg, ridiculous
