Default Arm Rest Cable

I took my rear seat base out to clean all the underside and noticed a power cable going to the arm rest.

I had a look can't see anything that's illuminated or would need a power cable.

Any idea why it is doing?

There are LED lights, open the top part of the arm rest when it's dark and you'll see them.

Waited till it was dark and I was in the car.
0130 last night seemed like a good time and there is nothing producing lights in my armrest.

I can't see any LEDs in the armrest or places for them to go.

OK maybe the LEDs are part of interior LED option which my car has.

The armrests in my D3 light up internally, I have the dual armrests. The lights shine downwards and the source is at the back of each armrest. Mine only has the standard interior lighting, none of the door LED strips etc.

This is the rear arm rest mate.

I got the door LED strips but can't see where the rear arm rest would light up.
Unless its the cup holder symbols?

maybe the power cable was for a play station link or charger for a remote (some entertainment rear armrests had a remote nestled into them) or even just a charger cable somebody wanted into the rear for a mobile phone etc?
