That's bizarre - pulled their number straight off the yellow pages web site :/ might be worth googling company in case they've changed details. They're local enough for me to pop over and have a look if all else fails

The D3 does not use a 4 digit PIN, it has a newer Immo version that requires a PIN of IIRC 8 or 16 digits. The car may even require connection to Audi HQ to enable the key to be programmed.
