Windscreen demist procedure
In previous cars I usually just put the air flow to the upwards position and this was enough to demist the windscreen unless it was really bad, in which case it needed a quick blip of the the full windscreen demist setting.
On the A8, the screen really only clears when I hit the demist button. It's a bit of a pain having to hit it all the time in bursts rather than having a more gentle continuous flow in an alternative setting. Is there a way round this that I'm missing? There doesn't seem to be away to have the demist button activated but reduce the fan. |

You can change the direction of the air and adjust the fan speed.
But that kind of takes away from Auto mode. If I read it right, the HVAC should detect a misting screen and adjust the vents, air, heat accordingly to clear the screen.
