Default Strip lighting in door trim

I'm not sure what the correct name for them is, but I noticed last night that both the passenger front and rear door lighting strips aren't working. This is the mood lighting strip that is hidden, but lights up the armrest.

Any obvious reason why both on the same side of the car would be out?

They seem to all fail eventually and require replacement.

Common problem I'm afraid. Passenger front door usually seems to fail first and there are a few threads on the issue on here.

I used to love turning down the brightness of the dials at night and having that strip lighting on while on a dark road.

Surely enough justification in itself for buying another one soon?

The rear passenger door seems to be the most common one.

Not sure if its the strip or the controller.
Hopefully I'll get to find the fault with mine tomorrow.
