Pci card
I would love to put a pci card in but when I tried to open the case it was bolted in by these security type bolts which have a triangular head???? The first time i have seen these...
The hp laserjets seem pretty cheap, but it is a pentium computer with dare I say it possibly even window 3.x operating system....so i'm wondering if the computer will be able to use it.....

Better bet than a USB/Parallel adapter, that will only work on later systems.
As for security bolts, if you can get the head off a V8 that's hardly a challenge!  As for HP Laserjets, they've been around longer than most versions of Windows. Get a Laserjet III from 1990 or so or a Laserjet II from the 1980's ...

Polestar performance "optimisation".  (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!  Finally: gone, but not forgotten..... 1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course.  (internal dimming mirror added later)1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

Security bolts
Tell my mother that...she relies on that computer for her business and she is worried it will end up in bits like this s8 and take me months to put it back together again...lol

Can't go wrong with cheap Laserjet just get one with ethernet port so that you can hook it up to network and use from several computers. The one I have does have it and it's hooked up to network and with £25 cartridge for 11k copies, it's really cheap to use as well. It needs servicing at 300k copies but mine has only done 49k since it was new in 2003. I probably printed out only 2-3k in last 4 years so it will last another 100 years.

Yes, but if it's a really old system USB support or printer drivers may be an issue, so no point opening it.
Best to get a compatible parallel printer, known to have drivers for the OS. What version of Windows is it?
