Really great on the RS6, iconic in fact.
On the D3, not so much. Having said that, on yours in that white, filling the arches (is it lowered, or just on dynamic) they do look alreet. All in my opinion. (And you already knew my thoughts)

How does the rolling radius compare? Maybe needs a Sergey-style deep sidewall tyre to fill the arch on the smaller rims?

I like the RS6 wheels, they're a classic and easily recognisable design. They look good on almost anything (I remember a few people putting them on their Octavia vRS back when I frequented briskoda.net). Unless I'm mistaken, they're 19", right?
