Ironically, if it were factory standard, this low mileage high spec car would be really quite desirable, but the constant switching between new owners with itchy fiddly modifying fingers puts me right off tbh. Its had more people tinkering with it than cars with 4 times the mileage..... (you asked for honest right? ;-) )

The black roof looks a lot better than it sounds, but the rear pipes look just awful. Its a bloody 3.0 tdi for gods sake, not an RS. There are people out there that would love the efficiency of the v6 Tdi, with a decent high spec.

Be proud of what it actually is, and quit trying to tart it up....

Just put it back to standard, and enjoy it. Oh. And don't sell it again.

Fantastic Ian !
im now the 8th owner Logbook just arrived
ive owned it now 4 times but 1 owner owned it twice !
so in reality its had 4 owners
ive tinkered with it but no-one else has apart from the last owner from (essex) oh dear, but hes only done 3000 miles and Audi relieved him of £550 for a service and a new battery(nice)
i hated the original down pipes and changed them to round stick out ones at birth (2008)
last owner fitted the RS ones (and im not sure i like them either)
its too low and choppy so yes it will be highered
now its going to stay as after looking for months for one its defo a 1off with the spec colour and 44,000 genuine miles

Those tail pipes definitely look wrong, sticking out and not following the bumper line but original down pointed pipes are no lookers either. S8 tail pipe ends would probably look the best. The rest of mods does not add or take away anything from the car for me, I would not have spend money to do them and would not spend to reverse them.

Lose the rear exhaust pipes how you had it before was far nicer. lowered looks ok but up to you comfort wise, the debadge is nice but the black roof is awful on such a nice white car

well ive been driving around in her for a few miles now and noticed 1 thing..
the big round tailpipes i had fitted by powerflow in 2008 sooted up the rear end quickly..
these on now dont do that hardly at all so im sticking with them as they have now grown on me and ive noticed the bumper has been cut slightly..
the original downpipes are the foulest thing Audi ever produced so they're a nono..
not so sure about the fablon black roof, but i keep seeing many newish cars now with a black roof, defo seems to be in fashion..

I don't mind the black roof and the lowering to be honest, though comfort at our age is a must roberto, so see how you feel after few more miles?

As for the tips, they look wrong, and don't suit the car. Do you have a Longlife centre near you? I changed my corroded S8 tips for something very similar for not a lot of money, perhaps they could be an option? They had quite a selection of sizes available so maybe something more suitable for your A8 and giving less soot emission?

Thats the reason they are turned down, to prevent the soot build up. All the soot chuckers are like that.
