Default buying a D4 Bose an option what else am i missing

trawling through d4 adverts, and was going to see one today. thought certain things were standard as per d3

and now just realised that bose is an option, whats in its place if its not there how good is it, has anyone got a D4 without bose or B&O whats it like
is it worth buying one without it

also made me realise im going in without knowing enough , is there anything else i need to be aware of

I'd say Bose is a must, for resale if nothing else. It was possible to get no Bose or B&O on the D3 too, but very rare. It was only standard on the S8. The Bose system is very good, but B&O is exceptional.

Night vision is definitely a gimmick, and not needed, but may appeal on resale to the gadget hungry. And it fills a blank

I like a nice interior. So Alcantara roof and extended leather is very high on my list.

I would say upgraded seats (comfort or sport) are worthwhile options. Feel better and look better too.

Sunroof and Adaptive cruise are my personal must haves.

Quad Zone / Blinds / Stuff in the rear = entirely optional on whether you transport lots of people.

Auto boot is very desirable. Reversing camera looks cool, but adds little value if you're capable of parking

The 4.2 Tdi seems to be the one in demand, as per the D3.

But, each to their own

You're welcome to pop up to Harrogate and have a closer look at mine if you like, there's no substitute for a proper hands on nosey.

i had kind of taken it for granted that bose would be there, agree for resale its a big benefit,

i dont care that much on quad control - but would like blinds for the kids sake rather than drug dealer privacy glass, but willing to compromise on that

adaptive cruise i have always wanted

comfort seats at least is a must

reversing camera is a must , purely becuase the audible/visual parking sensors can be so hit and miss

also TV probably as it gives an input to the fron screen.

4.2 would be great, tested one of those on monday, beautiful engine and i would expect those to be better specced than the 3.0TDI (apart from the one i was in that had almost no options.

extra toys would be nice as you say gimmicky night vision etc, but can live without it

What about LWB or SWB

im inclined not to care which, on my trips to france the extra legroom would be well used. but it certainly seems they are harder to shift than the SWB

I personally would avoid LWB. Harder to shift, take more parking as well. Options tend to be focussed towards the rear passengers = less driver aids.

On the D2 and D3 they were tuned differently too. Different drivetrain and ECU's for more comfort.

oh, wrong thread, but we tested the dynamic headlights based on Sat nav theory last night.

Tis true.

On a windy B road, you can see the headlights swing into the upcoming corner just before you turn the wheel.

Its bloody subtle, and a little odd at first. Having spent a few years getting used to normal dynamic headlights swinging _with_ the steering wheel, now they swing just before
