So do you know what the actual problem is?

Mine does the same but I'm always careful not to activate the headlight jets... I top it up, even with just a litre or so and after a couple of hours (of not driving) the car has done a wee.

Ollie, it's not that difficult to investigate it.
Turn wheels all the way to the right, undo 3x torx screws, pull out section of the wheel arch and you will be able to see the entire washer bottle, water hoses and both motors (screenwash and headlights jets motor).
Could be a cracked bottle, not hard to change or one of the hoses has split.

To folks who don't know (I didn't til I found out on here) you can avoid washing the lights when the lights are on on by pulling the washer stalk towards you for short periods of time, on and off quickly.

If you pull it for too long the lights get sprayed (and then on mine at least, the overspray lands on the windscreen)

Several years later I am still battling mine,

Each MOT it goes in, fails because the headlight washers are not working. Gets fixed, passes MOT and then they fail again a few months later.

Been the same for every MOT i've put it through, they are currently broken again and the car will dump its screen wash if I use the washers wiith the headlights switched on.

Longest they've worked is 8 months, this time about 5 months before they failed again.

Mine always seem to fail at a joint behind the bumper, at some point I'll bite the bullet and get someone to replace all the pipework.

Where yours has wee-d from Ollie looks like the elbow joint under the drivers side bulkhead cover - take the cover off and there is an elbow joint where the pipe comes through from the washer bottle into the bulkhead and turns horizontally to go along the bulkhead to each washer jet. If it comes off then it dumps water into a drain area underneath. Mine did a wee recently on the mot tester who had just passed it!!
