The current MFSW slip ring has the horn and airbag connections, which can be reused, but everything else is sent over a databus from the MFSW controller. You will need to find the tiptronic up and down wires, and run them up to the back of the new slip ring on the steering column. I cant remember if the paddle shifts are illuminated like the tip up/down on the MFSW - If so, you need to bring a feed for the illumination from the tiptronic selector too. Not hugely difficult, but not a 2 minute swop either. It will be hugely beneficial to the new buyer if you sell the slip ring and any snipped off connectors with the steering wheel as it will be a far more useful complete retrofit kit....

Speak to a8parts. The slipring for the RS6 paddle wheel should be the same as from any D2 sport with tiptronic change.
Olis D2 conversion from a tiptronic 3 spoke to RS6 paddle was a 5 minute straight changeover. You'll probably need wiring connectors too as the pins will differ....

Actually, I correct myself.
It was a 5 minute change to put the Rs6 wheel on the D2 PF S8 I had it on. It was a PITA to put it on Olis car as it had originally an early MFSW and needed all thw wiring doing...

Hmm, so will it be easy or hard to do on my MFSW equipped car, Ian? MRC have said 30 mins labour. I haven't been able to get an airbag with the three spoke wheel so I am buying this to use the airbag.

Grizz has very kindly been in touch and told me that Ekta lists the same slip ring for both the multifunction steering wheel and the three spoke. My current four spoke steering wheel also has tiptronic shifters on it, I am guessing you guys thought I needed the slip ring as my four spoke didn't have tiptronic shifting on it? This seems to be the part number for the shift ring thing.
