Default D3 3.0 TDI wanted

A friend is after a D3 TDI A8, has a budget of £8k. It needs to be a 3.0 TDI and he would prefer black or blue. If anyone comes across anything, please let me know. He likes gadgets, so the more gadgets the better. He is only intrested in a TDI.

He has seen this, but I couldn't advise him the best as I am more in tune with the D2, so could people tell me if the below car is any good?

Thanks

It's certainly not 'unmolested' with a couple of warnings on it, and I'd be concerned about how long he's had it too.

Might still be decent underneath though.

that car is/was also on ebay, bids around 5k from memory, it's not worth anywhere near what they're asking in my opinion, had way too many mods too which would need to be insurance declared and thus have an impact of choice of insurers and price.

Suspension looks very wrong too

If he/she doesn't mind the bling wheels, this one might suit

Not enough details, but am sure some eagle-eye bod can tell a lot from the pics available:

At that price it's either a scam or it's been to Jupiter and back twice

Air freshener hanging on the steering column is a bad sign.

Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)

And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

When Earth and Jupiter are at their closest to each other they are 628,743,036 million km apart. At their most distant from each other they are 928,081,020 million km apart

Maybe a bit of the way there and back

Usually these 'to good to be true' prices on gumtree are, had two that flagge dup alarm bells as soon as I contacted them.. In the forces and you can't come see it as it's on base, owner abroad, blah blah..

Though, you never know.. This one could be legit, but it's damn cheap.

I guess the few pics and almost no details says a lot

But if its legit, no harm in checking it out if in the area.

Does the forum have any volunteers who have signed-up to a "I'll check it out for others if in the area" panel
