Default Disc brakes , which ones fit

looking at replacing my pads and discs, for the discs I have put my car details in to eurocarpart and have a list of products which fit my car. though most of the details of the parts seem the same, some details for example the diameter of the disc range from 320 - 361mm ,

do they all fit? whats the difference?

No is the answer, they won't all fit. The difference being the overall diameter. So your calipers will be a set distance and the disc will at a diameter to suit that.
Basiclly you need to replace like for like, or if you wanted to upgrade to bigger discs you'll need the calipers to suit.
You'll find that eurocar parts will cater for all or most options fitted to the model range and therefore list them all as options.

If you look at your option sticker in the spare tyre well (or handbook)
The front brake codes are like 1KL, 1LL and similar and the rear 1KW and similar. If you then look at the extra information on ECP site these codes are on there, but ECP are quite expensive compared to ebay's premier-factors.
I always get the Audi and Mintex (or whatever) part numbers and then search on ebay and google for the part number to find the best price as they vary wildly.

You can potentially go off the PR codes in the service book, as follows:

1LG depends on the VIN as there's 2 options (321 or 323mm)
1LL or 1LM (360mm)
1LJ (385mm)

If it's 1LG then I can tell you which you need based on VIN range being either up to 4E-5-003 250 or 4E-5-003251 onwards

OK for front brakes you need 321x30mm (it's the Teves setup) and the Audi part number is 4F0 615 301E (RRP £102 each)

Pads are 4E0 698 151M (RRP £138)

1KE rears are 280x22mm Girling/TRW

Disc is 4E0 615 601J (£76 each)
Pads are 4b3 698 451a (£92.50)

I've posted this before but try Murrays Direct for prices on decent quality non-OEM parts (Zimmermann etc)
