Well welding would be cheapest and simplest option and you can use the gearbox and ECU that you have. Possible issues is length of gearbox and possible balancing issue on diff after welding.
I suppose you could keep automatic part of gearbox, take off centre diff part and you might be able to find a FWD final drive that fits, possibly from 3.7 or 2.8 FWD car that fits. Or make custom drive from gearbox output to front diff. Unfortunately I cannot recommend any specific, I am afraid you need to do your own research. I length is not issue just weld it up maybe take centre diff to dynamic balancing after welding.

On 4WD you have centre diff(torsen in most cases) at the end of gearbox and you have output from it to rear propshaft and a shaft going to front diff. On FWD you just have pair of gears that drive shaft going to front diff in place of centre diff. Iknow there are 4WD and RWD version of HP24 but do not know if there was ever FWD HP24 box, id there was you could use parts from it on your gearbox. On the other hand it could be possible to use parts from FWD HP19 box but I am not sure if they will fit.

Here I got a picture of boxes. On the left you have 4WD boxes and on the right FWD boxes. The automatic gearbox part should be the very similar(marked green in picture) but on 4WD boxes there is a transfer box bolted at the end of it marked in red and cover with pair of gears(yellow) on FWD cars. Like I said before I do not know if there was ever FWD version of HP24, If there was you could take transfer box off and get cover , gears and shaft and cover from FWD version, if not then you might be able to use parts from FWD HP19 but I cannot guarantee this without having both boxes and comparing parts. Or yo could make custom parts. But like #i said before if length of gearbox is not issue easiest and most cost effective solution would be to weld up center diff in transfer box.

Elvis,
If you dont want to use a FWD transmission then you can weld up the center diff so that the output to front and rear is identical. Try googeling it. Link here.
