Dashmats are pretty hideous. My daughter / son in law in Perth have one on their Holden Commodore and its just a rough, black (dusty!) mat which looks like carpet or velcro. I shall, no doubt, be getting familiar with the Holden's and its brakes in the next few weeks when I visit as the pads/discs need changing.... deep joy!

Hope they're not being flooded out! Heavy rains in Perth last few days...

Commodore brakes aren't too bad!
Floating discs, dual caliper pads front.
Rears have internal drum inside the disc rotor for the hand brake, so no winding required (I think VE/VF still use this setup). If you need to replace the rear discs, make sure the handbrake is released - take your pad compresser if you have one....
Get your parts from a Coventry's Auto (if they still exist). They're an OEM supplier, but I'd recommend DBA rotors and Bendix General CT pads.

Let me know if you're coming to Melbourne at all, I'll shout you a beer!

PS - sorry to hijack thread OP

Many thanks Marty, but no plans for the east coast unfortunately.
