Is there a list on here of all the options that were available on PFL and FL cars?
Or is there one on the web that anyone can point me to? Or could we make one here as a sticky? Just a thought. I'd love to see a definitive list of what my (and others) cars could have had and what choices the original purchaser went for. Perhaps someone has an old price list with everything on it? I recall looking through the spec sheets from the VIN check for both my A8's and was surprised to see little quirky differences/options between the cars.

That's very interesting to look at. I noticed that the memory settings for the passenger seat weren't on there (unless I didn't look hard enough) so that may have been an option for FL cars. No additional price for special order paint either. I wonder how you can tell if you've got "natural leather" in your car without doing a VIN search? I haven't seen anyone mention their leather type on here before. Perhaps it's discussed behind closed doors.

Passenger seat memory was never available in uk pre face brochures. I suspect it existed though.
Likewise, there was no promotion of exclusive gmbh styling over here at the time. I have a pre facelift D2 German gmbh custom colours brochure which is quite cool. GmbH customisation, or exclusive as it became seemed to start late facelift around 2001. And even then it was a bit secret. The final edition cars were the first ‘mass’ injection of exclusive pant and interiors into the market that I’m aware of. Passenger seat memory is pretty rare overall. You don’t see many. I’ve had 2 personally, but don’t recall seeing any others in the flesh. Not too difficult to retrofit but you need the Uber rare memory buttons for the drivers side which are like rocking horse poo to source !

Talking of unlisted options, that price list (one month before my PF S8 was built) only list FRONT footwell lights. Mine 100% had rear ones as well.
This is not something I can get wrong because I replaced all those lights with LEDs and when I got my FL S8 moved all those bulbs across to it (returning the PF car to OEM for Ian who bought it off me  )

Can't believe Cruise was an option on the S8 in 1999.
Sports steering wheel with tiptronic controls and PDC were a surprise too!
