Ordering a D4

Just looked at the wheel specs for the 18s on the D4 and they have an offset of ET28 so will be inset on the inner edge by 31mm (less clearance on suspension so you need to check there's adequate room) and inset by 5mm at the outer edge.

Basically if you can find spacers that will both space them out and change the centre bore as appropriate then you should be fine

It looks like newer Audis' use the same centre bore as Mercedes of 66.6mm instead of 57.1mm on older Audis. So to put D3 wheels on D4 you would need to increase bore diameter on wheels or use hubcentric spacer adaptors but I do not like the idea of using spacers.

Got messed about on the new car order so ended up buying an ex demo one in silver from a local Audi dealer It's four months old and has less than 1,000 miles on it. Will match the PF 4.2 qs D2 it will be sharing a drive with which is also silver. It's a 3.0 TDI quattro SE Executive.
Can anyone tell me what the options are on it? I can see it has Bose, the exec spec already comes with keyless go, reverse camera,auto boot etc etc... Will it have Google maps? Car is going to be collected on Tuesday! Photos of it and the D2 to come! Watch this space. Link below.

you've got Bose and the 21 inch rotor wheels () on there as optional extras Amar and its the quattro with 250 ps rather than the lower ps one. Fed it into the Audi configurator ref ACNETUHI and it came out as OTR price of 62740 so your 1000 mile used version has saved you about £12,741
that's assuming you wouldn't get some discount for buying a new one of course but still a pretty good result I would guess

WOW, thanks Neil. The car was in the showroom, so it probably only has 40-50 miles on it. They put 1k as that's the max, going to drive up and have a look tomorrow, the salesman says he has put a sold sign up.

My bad, it isn't the A8 in the link. It's sat in the showroom, brand new - unregistered with 54 (factory miles on it). Silver, black interior quattro SE.
The last time I was in the showroom I was looking at a C6 RS 6 and I saw the salesmen think 'tyre kickers' and lock it, so today I got my own back when I approached them, pointed at the brand spanking new A8 sat in pride of place in their showroom and said. 'Can you arrange for my new A8 to be locked so nobody can go in it please?' which they did!
