Default Is the alarm siren generally pathetic, or is mine faulty?

Just thinking while my S8 is in having the mirrors etc replaced, that the one time I made the alarm go off on purpose it sounded about as intimidating as a nute! Sounded pretty uninterested in warning anyone away from the car, never mind loud enough to wake me up at the back of the house!

Should the S8 not have a nice manly siren suitable for waking the dead?!

Is mine typical, or a sign of an issue? Have read about the issues with siren batteries dying, but I'm guessing that's the battery backup so not directly related to how loud the thing is.

It's just crap Adrian, look into something like a cobra that will vibrate or make a noise on your key fob or sound an alarm loud enough to wake up your neighbourhood if someone so much as breathes on it

Hiya

Can these be piggy-backed onto the standard security using the original remote, or does it involve basically replacing everything Audi attach to the vehicle security-wise?

Don't much fancy anyone butchering the wiring entirely, plus the auto open/close on the windows is quite handy lol

Like the idea of something that lets me know without necessarily telling everyone else!
