Default auto windows

are PF d2 A8's suppose to have auto up and down on all 4 windows? currently only the drivers side goes down on auto and the others have to have the switch held till closed or open.they are also very slow.

they need to be wound all the way down and up once to calibrate before they will auto up/down. If you've had the battery off or its been flat at all then they reset and need a quick wind down/up to cure.

The drivers one works as you've likely had that down and up as a matter of course..

The motor could be tired but try lubricating the guides.

my luck its the motor. it has its moments when its quick and when its slow could be jamming on the guides. can i use normal oil or silicone spray to lubricate the guides?

The rear windows on a D2 should auto down after a brief tap on the switch, but they don't auto up at the back for 'safety reasons' despite them having anti-trap. Think that's the same from the front or rear switches - certainly is from the drivers panel anyway.

mine only have auto down on drivers window.the battery was disconnected for while and when i bought the car i had to replace the battery.would it not have to be sorted out on a vag machine?
i did notice on the sticker for the fuses and relays in the passenger footwell that there should be a relay or fuse for the window control but i cannot find it

You just need to work the windows all the way up and down to reset the auto-up/down function.
