Default EML came on - I'm very disappointed

It has been not long in ownership and I got mixed feelings rgds to audi
So far I replaced:
- front upper suspension arms, all both sides
- o/s shock absorber
- airmatic pump rebuild
- engine serviced oil, filters
- new battery

Picked up car wensday and Thursday morning eml came on.
Plugged into star - timing off bank 2, something like that
Yesterday back to the workshop - timing belt tensioner gone !!!!
I was so lucky the belt didn't jump a tooth !!!!
I just don't get it how garages operate in the UK.Timing belt job was done on my car not that long ago-after investigation it looks like new belt and pump was fitted but old tensioner was left !!!! :-0
Anyways that will be sorted next week
Never had an audi before and from the biggining I have problems.....already thinking to go back to mercedes
Sorry a bit upset, car probably not at fault only bad ownership - some just don't really care

Sorry that you have had a bad experience so far, these cars are great to drive with amazing levels of luxury.

That does however carry with it an increased running cost.

Unless you have the pockets to buy new then one has to expect bills to keep these cars running in tip top condition.

That said you may have been unfortunate to buy a car thats not been well looked after in the past.

I have owned my S8 D3 for over a year now and maintenance carried out so far has been Full service, new tyres, new TPMS sensors x4 New driver side door handle.

That lot set me back well over £2000 but hopefully that will be all she needs for a while.

With the work you have done that may be you past the worst of it and setup to enjoy driving her.

Fingers crossed for you.
