Leaking washer jet
I got my car back from Audi last week and over the space of 2 days I filled the windscreen washer bottle up 4 times. I left it in again at the end of the week and they replaced the bottle which apparently had stress fractures in it, however the system is still leaking.
I'm just wondering if this might be a common problem on the D3? Or where would you suggest beginning to look? Sadly there doesn't appear to be any obvious sign of a puddle under the car. I assume a combination of time and current wet weather makes the leak slowly blend in with the already damp ground. |

My PF D3 had a habit of popping one of the pipes behind the bumper in icy weather.

Headlight washers and associated pipework is where I'd be looking, had mine repaired twice now since I bought the car. Latest repair seems to be holding (for now).

Take the front drivers wheel off and pull the arch liner back, check that the lines and pumps all seat correctly.
What happens when you turn the head light washers or windscreen washers on? Does water come out of all jets with correct pressure?

I believe so yes. I'll get the wife to turn them in from inside and I'll check outside.
Mannyo what was your issue in both cases? |

Split pipes was the last one, before that a disconnected joint.
When I operated the washers with headlight one it caused almost the entire screen wash bottle to be dumped onto the road. The next time you used them the low washer bottle popped up. Towards the last fix it was leaking out as fast as I added it in.

I'll get the front wheel off at some point over the holiday and have a look, cheers.
Are the pipes fairly visible when the arch liner is removed or is more stripped needed? |
