Default Shiny Shiny :)

Just spent a couple of hours getting the '8 shiny for AITP tomorrow and using some more of the goodies from my box.

1 - Wash with 'Born to be mild' and the lambswool mitt

2 - Clay all over, in pretty good nick from last time I did it which I'm sure was about March.

3 - Going over with Poorboys White Diamond using the foam pad, then buff with the microfibre.

4 - Going over with Dodo Juice Rainforest Rub using the cool finger mitt pads, then buff with the MF

5 - Clean the engine bay with plastic cleaner/shine

(I did the inside last week and was too tired to do it again).

Some of the little scratches are covered over a bit with the White Diamond and wax, but it really needs going over with a proper compound. Looks like I need to invest in a DA polisher machine and some compounds to fill the bigger scratches.

Some pretty shiny panels now though, if I do say so myself

Not too great as they're from my phone camera and don't show some of the swirlies (I don't think the car's had a proper polish ever).

Good job Richard, I've just applied some rainforest rub myself. Smells lovely. See you tomorrow.

And there was me debating whether to knock the flies off my car before I set off. Looks like I'll have to shell out £12 for a wash then.
