Replacement of Screen Washer Pump - PF (FL Similar?)
Guys,
Just replaced the screen wash (scoosher) pump on the PF D2. Fairly easy process as detailed below (forgot to take pics again). 1 - Call A8Parts and get a new one 2 - Take cover off behind air box (screw near bulkhead) 3 - Take top off airbox a - Loosen jubilee clip on air hose and disconnect b - Undo the pipes to the front of the car c - Undo the 4 screws and lift off 4 - Remove air filter (optional) 5 - Undo the two nuts at the top of the air box 6 - Remove air box by pulling forwards then upwards 7 - Remove trim under lights (screw inboard of headlight) 8 - Remove indicator (white clip at the back of the headlight) and disconnect the bulb holder to prevent it hanging against the car 9 - Pull the clip forward holding the power on & disconnect 10 - Pull the top of the unit forward while pushing the clip holding it in to the side 11 - Shout swear words as all the water comes ****ing out over you 12 - Undo clip holding the pipe on and remove 13 - Refit new unit by attaching pipe and fitting into washer bottle. Put the bottom in first at an angle then push the top hose back in. 14 - TEST! (You will need to put some more water in the bottle) 15 - Put it all back together in reverse of removal. 16 - Enjoy the ability to remove dirt from the windscreen without rain again All-in-all, under 30 mins start to finish I reckon.

Hi,
Just searching the forum as my washer jets seem to be not working. Upon investigation, the headlamps washers are working fine - do they use the same pump as the windscreen? When I try the windscreen washer, the wipers move as normal but no water and I cannot hear any noise i.e. washer pump I disconnected one of the pipes behind the washer jet and tried again, but no water there either. Maybe the pump has failed, but maybe not if it also supplies the headlights. Can anyone shed any light on this please? Many thanks Yas

It's usually 2 motors I believe - the wiring can corrode so if you're lucky you can unplug it, clean it all up and you're good to go. If not there's a modified part from Audi which includes a different plug which doesn't let water corrode the contacts!
My headlight washers were playing up regularly but since having the wiring cleaned up they've been perfect
