Default Etka diagram help please

I need a diagram of the two pillars that run along the middle of the car (c/d pillars) so where the seatbelts come out of.
Can someone please get me the diagram? Also part numbers for all screws/bits please. Would appreciate that.

Thanks

As no body seems to have this to hand could someone (Ian?) that has taken these pillars off give me a quick how to guide. I am replacing mine on the A8 and I don't wan't to break clips as I don't like creaks and want the interior to be solid. I also need to remove front and rear seatbelts, how easy/hard is this?

Its probably because your question doesnt make any sense - the C/D pillars are at the very back of the car, but have no seatbelts.

Assuming you mean the B pillars between the front and rear doors, then they aint too hard, but its not a 2 minute job either.

There arent any clips to break on the B pillars, just some bendy metal ones at the edge but they bend back...

You have to first remove the lower B pillar trims, and to remove those, you have to pull up the sill covers front and rear to access the crosshead screws.

Then there are a couple more cross head screws that hold the upper B pillar trim down, and from memory the top screws are hidden by the roof lining side trims, so you have to remove one of those to get access to the screws.

When the screws are out top and bottom, it will be loose but wont come off compeltely unless you feed the seatbelt through it, which can only be done by using a 17mm spanner to remove it from the seat. There will be connectors also for the ultrasonic alarm sensors in there somewhere....

You would have changed the B pillar though when you fitted the alcantara headlining so you must have some experience of it ??

The seatbelts arent too bad, but you'll need the B pillar off for that defo. 17mm bolts again holding the seatbelt assembly to the B pillar. On a late PF car you will also have seat belt pre-tensioners too which go down under the carpet and are held in by 2 allen bolts. Unplug carefully as it is all wired into the airbag system.

For the rear 17mm bolts holding the seatbelts down to the floor, and again 17mm bolts holding the seatbelt carrier underneath the rear parcel shelf. Thats a rear seat out job....

Its a lot of stripping apart, so allow a good chunk of time for it...

Thanks for that write up Ian, I will print that out for reference as I do it. I did take them bits out for the headlining but my memory is hazy now and I want to make sure everything goes back in as it was before or better. One of the B pillars on the S8 has been a little squeaky which I am going to sort now.

Ian / Singh, that is really useful as i need to take my passenger side trim off also.

I dont supose either of you could write a quick how to on removing the A-pilar trim, and the left hand roof edge trim. mines really badly fitted after a windscreen fitters been at it.

Hi Cathedral, I have received multiple PMs from you asking if I need this diagram. I'm not sure if my response is going through but I don't need this particular diagram any more. Thanks for offering to help.
