The left hand number plate light has been replaced with a Chinese reversing camera that has three LEDs in it for number plate light.
The right hand number plate light still has the original festoon bulb in it. Neither the display nor VCDS are reporting faults on the number plate lights. I'll have to drill the right hand number plate light to replace the bulb with a LED, & then report what happens.

Hey M-A8...
Got lost along the way with all the HID talk.  Are the new plate LED-ligths that you installed "error-free"? In other words, do they have a load resistor? Or are those lamps not detected on the CAN-BUS? I mean, if one goes out, does a warning come up on the dash?
