Hi guys, I'm new the forum. Hope u all well.
Hi M-A8, how are u doing ?
Could u pls help me explain more details how do u get the seized screws out to change license plate light, mine look like yours with 2 screw on 1 piece, i thought it would b easy unscrew as i did with my q7 before but with only 1 screw on 1 piece, but this time was impossible and it just damage the screw and made it worse, i think there no chance i can get it out with normal screw driver.

Quick update.
So originally I fitted this type which is not good at all as they were flickering, quiet often I have to say.

I solved this problem by fitting 1x CREE LED ones

I got about 4 sets of your original LEDS sat in my LED box.
All with the same issue, the resistors got hot, fell off and burnt out.

I'm going to talk to my LED guy and see if he has anything that will last longer than original ones.

Be interested to know how you get on with the Cree ones.

To not ''clutter'' Reversing Camera Retrofit thread I decided to post here what we discussing there as this thread is more relevant than the other one.

Few months now with CREE leds and I'm chuffed to bits, standard SMD chips were not good at all.
It's difficult to judge from the picture, but as mentioned before CREE offers much crisper light, just one CREE chip per bulb, its bright enough as they are very very bright.

I've just order new DRL P21W LEDs with 10x CREE chips, WOW, great light output as I've just fitted them on my mates new-ish T5 and they glow.

Will post some pictures in my other thread (LED DRL I think) as soon they are fitted.

I can take more photos this evening from different angles and different distance if you wish guys, but two posts above you've got some already.

I can give you the contact details of my LED guy that I bought mine off.
Been on the car for about 8 months now with no issues.

I fitted a pair of these at the weekend (had to get the drill and the hot glue gun out for one side) and they are brilliant!

Thanks for the recommendation
