Sounds like you two are going to be very busy with trams and new printers.
Looking forward to seeing the Hypercube build and how it pans out.

Still getting used to the CR-10S so once mastered this may look at something else!!

Used the free filament up the other day so ordered some new stuff.
SUNLU PLA+ (in grey).
Tried it out today and the results are looking good.
Although the spec says 205 to 230 degrees for the nozzle and nothing for the bed!
Tried it at 220 nozzle temp and room temp for the bed - big fail.
Set the bed to 60 degrees and all is good so will do some more trials and see how it goes.

Question for Ray and MJ - once you have finished printing do you take the spool of filament off or leave on?

Cheers

I leave it on.
Unless the next print needs a different filament.

Thanks Ray.
Just that my printer is in the kitchen that can get quite damp so was wondering about the filament wicking the moisture and thereby affecting how it prints.

I see your point Andy.
Mine is on the dining room table, and I don't have to keep clearing it anymore.

Mine was in the kitchen and I put the spool away after every print unless it was going to do another one immediately. Now I've moved it to the spare room with 38% humidity so it depends what filament is on. If its something expensive or fancy it goes in the drybox straight away. If its cheap prototyping PLA it stays out until I need to change it.

Thanks.
For now I will remove it once finished printing as Iam not sure how much keeping it out affected the prints!

I saw this but currently limited by cost (main limit...) and the size of the item you can make but does look interesting and promising

Printed this for the wife at the weekend as she is a fan of Keanu Reeves.
It's from the John Wick movies.

This is how it looked after being printed:

Shine light through it and you get this:
