Hmm... 8N1 has fitted my pedal base without any problem.
Looks like our cars were manufactured with different pedal bases???

Mine is also fitted with the 8N1
It was a snug fit but definitely goes on.

Maybe the first (supposedly) 8N1 pedal was not, in fact, an TT 8N1 but
I discussed it with the supplier who said that 8N1 was LHD (which is true as thats what the "1" stands for). I therefore went with 8N2 as that is RHD, which of course, seemed correct. It is definitely narrower when compared with The Laird's photos. So, unless I have a after market metal pedal (unlikely) I think that the problem lies with the first pedal I got being the wrong one. Or, I'm being rather thick.
