They should be able to coat in a number of shades, one of which should be pretty close.

Default Productive day today

Well with the threat of having to go away the missus want the car sorted out before I go which is fair enough.

So yesterday I took a run out and picked up some wheels to put on the old gal while her summer shoes get refurbed.

Got them fitted on today after plenty of huffing and puffing with a few choice words thrown into good effect.

Then she was treated to a good wash and dry before proceeding to rebuild all the interior after getting the rear screen done.

Quite pleased with the wheels too as they are reasonably tidy with plenty tread all round on the 4 fitted to car and spare is never used.

Cheers fella,

TBH I couldn't care what they look like as they will be the wheels that get abused during winter.

You know what, I had same idea, kept a set of 18" for 3 years until selling it to topgolfer over a week ago.
I never bothered to swap the wheels. I was either very careful (not), or stayed at home if was really bad outside or Mrs Golf was an option number 3

Did you add TPMS or repair fault units?

What was the fix for the rear screen misting up?

What's involved in a rear blind service?

I need to get my compressor done, Its kicking out 9bar.

My TPMS sensors had run out of battery as they only last about 6 years.

So had to replace all the sensors, at great expense.

The rear screen was leaking in through the sikaflex bonding and showing as condensation in the back window.

It was repaired by National windscreens but it meant stripping all the rear seats and trim out for access.

The rear blind had a habit of popping up when it felt like it and it turned out to be missing fastenings, as I replaced them and its fine now.

Good you sorted that before any serious damage becasue as most things (just not the dolphins ) these cars and electronics don't deal well with water inside the car.

The cost of TPMS is just ridiculous, but I can imagine how frustrating it is to know you have it but not being able to use it

I remember when I messed up my BT module and was looking for the correct SW one for 14months, soooo frustrating each time phone rang
I just love Sony Xperia phone after having iPhone for years and Samsung for very short while, but loudspeaker is really really bad and talking over it was pointless while driving, at home OK, but not in the car
