Wow quick posting Mike! and thanks for taking the pics
Great to see everyone that was there and the added bonus of great weather made it a perfect day. Im sure the event will get stronger each year now and the venue was good too.
Thanks to all who contributed to the organising too.
Now what was that you said about going to take a dump valve mike? I sure hope that you meant the raffle
Best noise of the day prize to Mrs A8 Owner for the new exhaust

Hi all,
Just wanted to take this time to thank each and every one of you that attended today.
I tried to get around to speak to everyone but after a vehicle count of 197 (excluding Audi demo cars and traders), I realise why I didn’t manage it!
The event was my first ‘proper’ event and I have obviously learnt a lot for next time.
I apologise in advance if anyone didn’t have a good time and will do my best to correct any issues for next year.
The general consensus (so far) has been fantastic! The turnout far far far exceeded my expectations and may have resulted in a bit of cramped confused parking, again for this I apologise.
Everyone I spoke to asked if there will be another one next year.....and the answer is YES!
I may have organized the show but an event is nothing without people....and in my opinion, it was the people (you guys) that made it what it was. So THANK YOU again!
Calvin

Please don't.....ok, I will. Mrs A8 Owner went to MIJ, showed them a video of mine from the annual meet, and said "I want it louder than that". To which MIJ responded "not a problem". Then they removed the 2 resonators/mufflers midway through the zorst, and now has a pair of straight through pipes.

I have to admit, it did sound rather nice though

My thanks to everyone who turned up today, 10 cars from the A8OC was a good turnout, and it makes me feel pretty damned good to see the commitment from our members.

P.S. Glad you all liked the t-shirts, I'll get pics up soon so that everyone can see them.

My pics will follow later in the week

P.P.S. Despite the "enthusiastic" drive down and back, I managed a 29.8 average MPG today

Great show nice to meet u all, and put faces to names. Tony im Sorry to knock u off the top for the sound. After the video clips that steve took at annual meet and u each clip been so proud of yur zorst sound. I had to cure that problem with the help of MIJ Did feel sorry for u when that bloke started to chat to u and said u had the best exhaust sound, till he spotted he was next to wrong car and corrected what he said to my car. Well at least we know he wont be getting up late for work, as he did sound clip of my exhaust for his alarm clock.
As we got out of gate and steve started to open her up, we got a call off our friends who were there. Basicly saying i "hear" u gone then. They said they heard going along the Rd from gate.
Seeing all the different things people had done to there cars, has left me with some great future plans. Weird to see the first A8 i ever went in/testdrive, was now a A8 owner club car.

We had not such a good trip back tho. Half a mile if that from home the car died on me Steve thought it was the geeeeaaarrrbox prob as car just came to a stop. Steve quickly tryed a few things out at side of Rd. He found problem just doesnt know what to do about it yet, its the LPG it wont run on it. flick to petrol got us home. Steve has checked some sites that say check your water level and so on but there all fine, cant be the injectors as there r none working we think as it doesnt run. What we both dont understand is tho the system is set on auto. When the engine gets warn it goes onto LPG, we got told if it ran out of LPG it will auto turn to petrol. So if it does this why is it when it wont run on LPG it doesnt just auto swop to petrol. Going to leave it over night and see if it runs when cold and changes to LPG.

DONT REPLY TO LPG PROBLEM HERE ILE START THREAD UP IN RIGHT PLACE FOR IT

Great meet, really well organised and nice to see so many Audis.
Sadly my car too (Mrs A8) died on the way home, luckily just outside my friends house so a consoling cuppa was speedily at hand.
It's now been recovered to Bens at AV Performance, which is kind of opportune in a spooky way because it was booked to be left with Ben for some work tomorrow. To a parking sensor and the reluctant starting which eventualy took it out.
I know these cars are clever, but you'd think it would let me drive it there myself.
Worth noting. RAC tested the spark with a spark tester thing, then got her fired up by spaying Easystart into the intake. Ben has told me to never let either be done again. Aparently a poor connection on the spark tester can fry your ECU and Easystart can wash out the bores and, worst case, seize the engine. GULP!
You have been warned.
Roll on tomorrow. Meanwhile I'm down to footing about or cadging a lift in the bosses (her who disdains my Audi enthusiasm) Scooby.
I and my pals enjoyed the meet. I'm looking forward to the next and thanks to everyone who put in so much effort to make it work so well.
I'm getting to know a great crowd of genuinly knowlegable enthusiasts.
Nick
