Wanted: D2 FL auto dimming mirror glass NS
The NS mirror glass on my FL D2 has degraded quite badly now and needs replacing. I'd really like to fit an auto dimming glass if possible. If anyone has one for sale, please do get in touch!

You sometimes find them in the USA, I think A6 (C5?) ones are the same so check the part number carefully as they can be advertised as A6 not A8. What variant do you want re curvature?

Finally: gone, but not forgotten..... 1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course.  (internal dimming mirror added later)1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

Sorry HP, rather slow response! They certainly are rare, I've been looking for ages. I'm sure I remember someone selling one on here not so long ago.
I assume you mean convex or flat? Would there have been a choice? Would it also not be a different shape being from the US?

US are the same shape. But you get silly (easily ignored) warning messages on some of the curved ones.
There are 3 surfaces: flat, convex and aspherical (wide-angle outer section). Quote:

Around €105 new from Easy Square (genuine) 8D0857535G - left side convex glass auto dimming Around €270 new from Easy Square (genuine) Dealers can sometimes do hot pricing on items like that - I bought a new drivers side glass when I was doing the roadworthy (MOT) on my S8 after buying it. Don't remember paying that much... Maybe I did? I assume you've tried the forum sponsors?

Pricing sounds about right, my (old) notes suggest 535F is about £80, 535G about £160, so double.
As for the Aspherical 535H, just don't ask......  (Right side are 536x)
