Default NorthWest(ish..) meet

Right..the sun is shining, and I'm getting withdrawal symptoms following the annual meet, so…time to organise another one…..

A few of us who travelled all the way to West Wales from the North West tentatively discussed this at the event, so this post is really aimed at reactivating that discussion, and see if we can sort a date, venue etc.

Ray, Mark, and Andy (honorary Lancastrian for the purposes of this meet ), I know you were up for it, so please add your thoughts. There's also plenty of others on here who weren't at the annual meet, so please join in.

It's July already, so it'll be September (and the end of the busy meet season) before we know it...

I'm up for it, depending on the date.

I was thinking, how about the Peak District National Park or the Yorkshire Dales National Park? They're both fairly central locations and not too far for folk both sides of the Pennines.

Both good choices Mark, to which I'll add the Forest of Bowland as well: that tends to be a bit quieter, but still a good drive. In terms of timing, I was thinking of either late August or early September?

Very tired at the moment with everything happening at once

YES, very much up for something, and as Mark says, "Depends on date".
I can usually juggle work around with a bit of advance notice

Yep, that'd be a no-no for me as well, as I'm planning on going to the German Classics @ Wigan the same weekend. http://classicshowsuk.co.uk/classic-...ate.asp?id=495

Not quite the same as Edersee, but it'll do as a day out.

I'm considering going to the German Classics event too.

Just a thought, if we don't manage to make any prior arrangements, why don't we make that the NW meet?

Ray certainly wouldn't have far to go. Hey, we could all stop at his place on the way for a quick wash and polish

That sounds like a PLAN.
But then I am a selfish chap and driving long distance to Haigh Hall would suit me.
Hosepipe will be available at ours, guarded very closely by two dogs and Gwen.
If anyone that wants to avail themselves of our services please ask and I'll forward the address details of the local rubbish tip.
My Albanians operating Soapy Bob's carwash are only 500 yards away if anyone feels lazy.

Deal then, I'll contact Phil, and see if he can reserve an area for us, which he normally does. Any more? Darren/Andy?
