Default Drivers door soft close

Came round to this job ive been putting off for ages.

Works now and again when I close the door, read up that its usually the micro switch that goes as I can make the soft close motor work by unplugging it and plugging it back in.

So I order a second hand one from Prestige breakers and its exactly the same. My concern now is, is there much point in getting another second hand one?

Seen one guy in the US cut one open and jam in a new micro switch, anyone else done this?

I just added the guide mate, been put in the common faults sticky section.
I see no good reason to buy these things second hand as you can never tell if they work or not and are in the same boat as when you started just a bit of cash less, the only advantage is you have a spare on the bench so to speak, so can easily do the repair and then swap it out for the dodgy one.
