Default How to clear error codes in 5F Information Electronics Unit

Hey guys, a few years ago i updated the navigation maps on my MMI 3G headunit which i had obtained from ebay with an acivation SD card. After having successfully performed this procedure i have been stuck with permanent error codes noted below until now.

After having done some research, I came across this article to clear the codes. It is quite for these error codes to appear after having done a navigation update.

03276 - Please Check Software Version Management

I followed this article for this code. It involves reading channel 15 in adaptions of the 5F unit and inputting a new code which you have to calculate using the tool on that page. Clear the fault codes at the end of the process.

03175 - Invalid Data Set

For this one, you have enable the hidden green menu on your MMI system. there are many guides out there on how to do this using VCDS.

Once you're the in menu, do the following:

- go to car -- carmenuoperation
- change every value by adding "1"
- restart the MMI
- go into the hidden menu again
- go to car -- carmenuoperation
- change the values back to their original value, i.e. substract "1"
- restart the MMI

After that all your fault codes will be cleared.

Please note that despite these fault codes stored in the 5F unit, the funcitionality of the unit was not affected at all. I was just annoyed at seeing these error codes popping up all the time in my scans lol.

Thanks

My RS6 has the same non-faults, and it bugs me, even though they don't harm anything, I'll give this a go when I get a mo
